Our Monthly Message Based in Faith
Message for October
Dear friends in Ethiopia,
With the heart-breaking situation in Lalibela still uncertain, all we need to know today is that we have love for one another. We cannot know about tomorrow – be reassured our Lord Jesus does. First I would like to pray for all those living in Lalibela.
Dear Lord…..Please make our brothers and sisters more aware of how safe it is to place
their life and their future in your hands. You care deeply about each person as ourloving father and almighty God. Even when fear is very present, I ask that you will provide a super-natural peace to encourage them at their time of need. Please watch over them and keep them safe and protected from their enemies. We also ask to bring reassurance to those who have been separated and are anxious for their loved ones who remain in Lalibela. Amen.
I have chosen some scriptures to encourage you that “all things are possible for those who believe in Christ Jesus”
“The Lord is my protector, He is my strong fortress. My God is my protection and with him I am safe. He defends me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe. I call to the Lord and he saves me from my enemies.”
Psalm 18: 29-32
“You Lord keep my lamp burning, my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop’ with my God I can scale a wall. As for God his way is perfect. The Lord’s word is perfect, he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God beside the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God. It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.
1 John: 4.7-10
“Dear friends let us love one another, because love comes from God. Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. And God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that HE loves us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven.
I found the bible verse “with my God I can scale a wall” at a time when my circumstances seemed impossible to climb. I held on to the verse and believed God was saying to me that the mountain ahead of me was not impossible to climb because my God was with me!. Now I can look back and see how the Lord helped me climb the mountain which had seemed impossible. I thank God so much for helping me through those difficult years. I also thank the Lord for bringing you into our lives – so please hold on to God and we hold to God also in prayer for your safety and protection.
With love in Christ Jesus, Susan & Maurice
