Our Monthly Message Based in Faith
Dear Ethiopia Friends,
We don’t always know or understand when difficulties come. Last year I experienced a deep depression and felt separated from Jesus. I could not write to tell you about the love of Jesus when I was lost myself. Yet Jesus had not left me and gradually healing came and I knew that Jesus was beside me again. … the joy of knowing Jesus is a joy like no other. Jesus is the most amazing friend to each of us and His love and compassion never ceases.
Dear friends I know many of you have been through unbearable fear and difficulty caused by the war….and Maurice and I feel deep compassion for you. We do realise that life is still very hard and yet whatever evil that man can do to man, Jesus remains the same His Love Never changes and never ceases.
Today I am reminded of a song “What a Friend we have in Jesus”. Prayer can sometimes be our biggest challenge therefore I trust the words of this song will encourage you in your personal prayer life that we truly have a friend in Jesus who we can trust with every part of lives.
These are the words :
What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit
O what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
I have missed sending you a message each month and pray this finds you in good health.
I look forward to sharing with you again next month.
God bless you and keep you safe in Jesus’ love
Susan & Maurice
